Creative Networks helps local engineering firm
Creative Networks helps local engineering firm [CNC Profile Engineering, Rochdale] go from pen and paper to keyboard and mouse.

CNC Profile Engineering was established in 1997 by two young engineers. The company started with a single CNC machine which was around 20 years old at the time and was setup in a small rented workshop. There was barely enough room to move let alone manufacture however the engineers strived to supply high quality products and on time. With their outstanding commitment and hard work, business picked up and they soon invested in a larger machine. By 1999 they had purchased a new mill and moved out and by the new millennium they had increased their manufacturing capabilities and purchased the company they originally worked for.

3CX Phone System for Windows is a software-based IP PBX that replaces a proprietary hardware PBX / PABX. 3CX’s IP PBX has been developed specifically for Microsoft Windows and is based on the SIP standard, making it easier to manage and allowing you to use any SIP phone (software or hardware).

  • Far less expensive to purchase and expand than a hardware-based PBX / PABX
  • Improve productivity with presence, desktop based call control and extension management
  • No need for separate phone wiring – phones use computer network, easy hot desking!
  • Deliver mobility by allowing employees to work from home using a remote extension
  • Choose between popular IP hardware phones or softphones – no vendor lock in

Creative Networks wins significant contract to service Robert Scott & Sons.
Based in Greenfield, Robert Scott & Sons run multiple sites from Cornwall to Burlney manufacturing a range of cleaning products from mops and buckets to dish cloths.

The family business was first established in 1925, when a spinning and weaving mill producing cleaning cloths was opened by Robert Scott’s father James Scott. The business passed to Robert in 1939 and he continued running the business until 1959. Then through a government scheme to reduce over capacity in the textile industry the mill was closed.

Robert Scott immediately re-started manufacturing in new premises without the cotton spinning, quickly establishing a small range of cleaning products, including mops. Helped by his sons James and Peter, the business steadily grew until in 1971 they moved to a much larger location, Oak View Mills which created the space for a rapid increase in production. In 1988 Heybottom Mill was purchased which enabled the continuity of expansion for the company.
