Microsoft have announced, as of July 14, 2015, Windows 2003 will become end of life like all good things. It served well and had been used by millions from simply web services to remote desktop it was a great Server Operating System. Like everything it had it’s flaws but combinations such as small busienss server made it great.

There are many customers still running Windows Server 2003 in production and many will continue well after the the end of life of Windows Server 2003. IT Admins should be looking to plan and migrate to the 2012, there is still some time left to carry out Line of Business Applications and compatability. The latest Server Operating System, Windows 2012 is impressive, with a host of new features for security, remote access and mobility, it is worth planning to switch before the deadline.
